Around 3,000 people will attend this special event that includes 40 open bars and five ballrooms with DJs following themes like the ‘90s, top-40 Motown music and poppy dance remixes. Tickets range from $149 to $2,995 and start with three ballrooms of entertainment and access to drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Higher-end options include VIP tables for eight guests with bottle service.
Wicker Park/BucktownVisit Parlor Pizza Bar in Wicker Park at 1824 W. Division Street for the NYE party. Head to the soiree using the 70 Division Street bus from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. General admission is $40 and provides access to the event plus drinks, music, the midnight countdown and a heavy appetizer buffet. If you are interested in reserving a table to guarantee seating, consider purchasing tickets now to gain access to a table plus a dedicated server and a bottle of premium champagne for up to $550. This 10th annual event costs $55 for entry, which includes two drink tickets and a midnight toast. The party lasts from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 2421 North Milwaukee Avenue and is easily accessible from the California Blue Line stop. Lincoln ParkFor those not interested in watching the ball drop at a bar or getting ritzy in a hotel, take the 22 Clark Bus to countdown to 2020 with the animal residents at Lincoln Park Zoo. The after-hours Zoo Year’s Eve event is for ages 21 and over and runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 2200 N. Cannon Drive. The gathering takes place under thousands of beautiful holiday lights and features giveaways and animal enrichment activities plus live DJs and cash bars. Many of the animal buildings will be open, so dress warmly for outdoor strolls, but rest easy knowing you can warm up in the company of some furry, scaley and feathered friends. Zoo members are eligible for discounts on this normally $20 event, and purchasing tickets early can save you $10.
